The Farming Operation


Noongaburra Farm is just 12 kilometres from the welcoming town of Hay, set along the scenic Murrumbidgee River. The property supports a diverse and productive agricultural operation, typically growing 1,000 hectares of irrigated summer crops and 1,500 to 2,000 hectares of irrigated winter crops. It also includes 184 hectares planted with 90,000 pistachio trees at various stages of maturity, with the first harvest approaching. This role offers a mix of variety and challenge, with the chance to contribute to a business that values initiative, teamwork, and ongoing improvement.


What We're Looking For

  • Mechanical experience in agricultural or similar plant and equipment.
  • Trade qualification as a mechanic preferred but not essential.
  • Experience working with orchard machinery highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with John Deere Series 7 and Series 8 row cropping equipment.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • A proactive, safety-focused approach to maintenance and repairs.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
